All About Me Paper Sculptures!

Our very first project in art was creating these beautiful paper sculptures. I got the idea from the amazing Cassie Stephens and tweaked it a little for our school. I decided to do this project with all three grade levels as it was such a fun and creative project. I also liked the idea that a 3rd grade student could walk down to the 5th grade hallway and see projects that she could relate to - "oh, that student has two brothers and one sister, just like I do!"

We discussed objective and non-objective sculptures and looked at some famous sculptures that they may or may not have recognized! They even learned the REAL name for "The Bean" in Chicago!
